Brisbane to Mooloolaba(h)

The day after we got off the sandbar at Kangaroo Island we made our way up through the winding, skinny and shallow channels of the Gold Coast Broadwater. After about 5-6hrs we got to  Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron at Manly, Brisbane.

When we got there we saw some family (uncle Norm and Cathy, Auntie Carmel, Johnny and Phil). After they left we saw some more family (Paul and Leisa, Mark and Kate, Olivia, Abby and Margot) for dinner. Then, we sailed out of Manly with a big current of 2-3knots and sailed north up past Stradbroke and Moreton islands.

Then we arrived at Mooloolaba in the evening. The day after,  we saw more family (Uncle Colin, Darren and Alison and Jake, Lynette and David and Lara and Ethan, for dinner. The day after we had dinner we went to Australia Zoo.

As soon as we got to the zoo we practically sprinted to the otter enclosure so we could see the morning otter show. We slowly made our way around the zoo to get to the croc enclosures to see the croc show and the raptors, then we saw the tigers and the tiger cubs. They were adorable. On the way back to the car we saw the wombats. One had a baby in its pouch, it was so cute then we made our way back to the car to drive to the yacht club.

The day after the zoo exploration mum went horse riding with Alison, and we went back to her house to find that their horse was escaping. So we went into their house and got their son to get the horse. Then mum came back and we had a horse ride with Alison teaching us and Lucia had a accidental canter. Then we fed the horses and left the day after we went to Opals Down Under where you dig in a scratch patch for Opals and other types of minerals.

We went with some cousins, and after that we had another dinner with more family and tonight we will sail to Fraser Island. We will leave at about midnight (Don't ask why, winds, tides and current, I think) Written By Stella
