We had another day there provisioning and hunting and gathering in the town of Toronto, it was already hot for our Tassie standards and most of us were getting sick of the confined area of the lake so we decided to head off the next day. So we went motoring and found a bay/town called Rathmines, we stayed there for one night. Then at about 11:00 AM the next day the journey really began, we went out of Rathmines and went to Swansea (thats in Lake Macquarie not tasmania) and went through a bridge. To go through the bridge we had to book a time so the people at the Swansea Bridge knew when to open the bridge. Then we stopped out side the bridge and picked up a mooring so we could wait for the tide to come in, then we could go over the bar at the entrance of Lake Macquarie. After we got out of Lake Macquarie we did an over night and a day and another half night (thats 36 hours) sail to get to Coffs Harbour.
The sail was good although most of us got a bit nervous and worried because it was our first over night sail, causing Lucia to throw up and a nearly sleepless night for most of us. Coffs harbour was not really that good any way mum, Lucia and I (stella) went for a long hike around the back roads to the Big Banana. why we took the back roads to the Big Banana is because mum did not think that there was a footpath on the A1 highway. But when we got there we were yet to realise there was a footpath on the A1. The Big Banana really wasn't that good at least Stella got to have a chocolate coated banana and Lucia got to have her banana "crepes" (they weren't really crepes they were pancakes). On the way back from the Big Banana we went shopping we had to get a toaster and a sponge we found all those things and went back to the boat. The trip back to the boat was uneventful, hot, long and bothersome. When we got to the boat it was time for fuelling up and stocking up with drinking water, one last shopping excursion to the local IGA and time to set off.

Fantastic. Thanks for the update. Sounds like Coffs Harbour is not all that exciting ! :-) Love your background picture. It is still cold and wet here in Hobart. Please keep in contact and let us know all about your travels. Kind regards Daniel and Peter
